My name is Barbara Broucke (she/her). I’m an experienced makeup artist with a background in communication management and teacher training.

For over 15 years I have been working internationally in the film industry including an extensive period in stunning New Zealand.

Through these experiences, I’ve witnessed an urgent need for a more effective approach to coordinating intimate scenes, with consent, within boundaries, beyond shame, and with a vulnerability that is safeguarded. Motivated by this insight I pursued further education and training (IPA - Intimacy Professional Association/US-based), ultimately attaining a certification (that is SAG-AFTRA accredited) as an intimacy coordinator.

With a dynamic perspective rooted in creative and educational backgrounds, I co-create attractive storytelling whilst keeping the director’s vision and the professionalism and safety of the cast and crew at the forefront of every production. Clear communication and transparency, advocating for diverse representation, diversity, and inclusivity training are key for this.

As an IC I’m happy to work in Dutch and English even though I also speak French and Spanish. I believe that good and clear communication in this field of work is key.
